The frequency

Divine Harmonics™ is a traveling movement collective that takes a new form in every community/space it enters. Chameleonic, by definition, describes something that readily changes color or other attributes. In this regard, our movement collective is represented by an ever fluctuating number of beings that express as Divine Harmonics™ at any particular moment in time. The flavor we exhibit in our works are informed by the movement style of afro-contemporary, rooted in Trauma Informed Care (TIC) rehabilitation principles & contextually based in consciousness as a lived in experience. There are nearly a dozen unique stylistic features that make our works distinct with the expression of yogi toes throughout our work in lieu of pointed toes as one of the many features. We have 3 different pockets of creation that we current create inside of: Original Choreography- to the tune of pre-existing songs; Original A Cappella- to covers of pre-existing songs; & Complete Original Works.

Meet The Collective

Dr. Free is best known as a child star, for playing the role of Young Simba in the original cast of the first national tour of Disney’s The Lion King. Before competing in this nation-wide search of of over 1 million children for this role, Free received dance training from greats throughout Denver, Colorado; most notably, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Academy. Just a few of the many highlights through Free’s dance career include shared training and performances with Mudra Dance Studio, Universes, Flash Mob America, B. Dunn Movement Dance and Theatre Company, Not Man Apart and Janet Jackson. With a long-standing presence in the arts and entertainment industry, Dr. Free has expressed an ecstatic, yet calm confidence in unrolling this next phase of the journey through entertainment.

Conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy of Metaphysics in December of 2021, Dr. Free is enlivened in the effort to fuse the exploration of conscious thought & being into the world of movement in ways that are engaging, healing and unconventional. Using the afro-contemporary movement genre, trauma informed care (TIC) rehabilitation principles & consciousness as a lived in phenomenon as the basic foundation of the Divine Harmonics™ pedagogy, Dr. Free has an evolutionary approach to the art of performance and entertainment as a whole that aims to leave all participants (both audience members and performers) completely enriched.
